Iceland with a baby

I’m not going to lie, I was panicked / mildly stressed about taking a baby to these parts but so far all has been well.

Flight went good, had a bottle on hand to help during take off but the lad slept. Our air bnb is superbly baby friendly and it is anything I’ve been overdressing him. It’s SUPER expensive so we are staying in a village outside the city in Grindavik.

It’s very quiet, we played UNO and ate a roast lamb for NYE. Today, we explored local town. Everthing was shut and we only saw a group of Italian tourists at the harbour. But something being about being in the snow is absolutely magical.

Best pro tip is to buy duty free in England. It’s expensive and hard to buy alcohol anywhere. We spent the afternoon on New Year’s Day in the hot tu (taking rotating turns to look after the baby). It was a very unique and hopefully memorable way to see in 2018.

After travlling so much by ourselves, it was ace to spend with friends.
